How to access

There are three sessions in total. The first two sessions are aimed at all professional groups. The third session is an additional resource specifically aimed at midwives.

  1. The first session aims to describe what is meant by 'culture' and why it is important for health professionals to be aware of how this can impact health.

  2. The second session describes cultural competence and its importance for health professionals working across cross-cultural situations.

  3. This session looks at the importance of cultural competence in the context of maternity care and aims to help health care professionals support and meet the needs of a changing population.

In order to access any e-LfH programme, you will need an e-LfH account. If you do not have one, then you can register by selecting the ‘Register’ button in the top right hand corner of the page.

If you already have an account with e-LfH, then you can enrol on to the Cultural Competency Programme by logging in to the e-LfH Hub, selecting My Account > Enrolment and selecting the programme. You can then access the programme immediately in the My e-Learning section.
