Open access sessions

The open access sessions for the MECC e-learning package will cease to exist from 3rd July 2017. Access to the eLearning from this date onwards for all NHS staff and non-NHS staff will be through a registration process only. Introduction to Making Every Contact Count

Session1Session 1 puts Making Every Contact Count (MECC) into context. It explains the background to MECC, its significance and introduces the idea that understanding how opportunistic, very brief interventions are at the core to MECC.



Introduction to Skills

Session2Session 2 covers how to start a healthy conversation with someone. This will include recognising which contacts are appropriate and exploring how to support people to make informed choices about their health and lifestyle.



Introduction to Lifestyle Topics

Session3This session helps put Making Every Contact Count (MECC) into context. It aims to introduce you to key lifestyle messages recognising that public health is everyone's business.



Signposting and Your Organisation

Session4This session illustrates how information sharing and signposting to others is an integral part of Making Every Contact Count. It shows that experts are available for people to continue talking to about their health.
