The Summary Care Records service is a free solution that gives clinical staff access to key ‘core’ information about a patient’s medications, their allergies and any adverse reactions to medication that they have, which is held within their patient record at their GP practice. This service is used for the provision of direct patient care in some locations providing the following care:

  • Accident and Emergency

  • Hospital Pharmacy

  • Acute Assessment units

  • Minor Injuries

  • Out of Hours provision

  • 111

  • Ambulance Trusts

  • Mental Health

  • Community Care

  • GP practice (for temporary patients, regional visitors)

  • Prisons

2 pm till 4 pm
