Long-term Neurological Conditions

e-brain Long-term Neurological Conditions supports the development of competences within non-specialist groups, with the aim of improving care for patients with common neurological disorders.

The learning material covers many of the areas originally included in basic neurological training previously developed by the Association of British Neurologists and other specialist groups.

The curriculum is also relevant to a number of specialities, including:

  • Acute Medicine
  • General Practice and GP specialists
  • Geriatrics
  • Neurology Specialist Nurses and other professions allied to medicine
  • e-brain imagePaediatrics
  • Pharmacists
  • Rehabilitation Medicine
  • Stroke Medicine

The Long-term Neurological Conditions e-learning curriculum includes:

  • Blackouts
  • Dizziness
  • Epilepsy
  • Headaches
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Stroke
  • Tremor

Within each subject area the e-learning will deal with both initial assessment and diagnosis and disease management of common neurological problems.

There are approximately 200 sessions of e-learning being created, each around twenty minutes long.
