e-IRMER is made up of the following modules that cover the IR(ME)R schedule 2 curriculum:
Each module contains a number of e-learning training sessions each approximately 20-30 minutes in duration that are designed to:
Each e-learning session will contain interactive content which will deliver the educational objectives using a variety of techniques such as animations and video.

The e-IRMER project was represented recently at the 38th Annual Meeting of the British Nuclear Medicine Society (BNMS) in Harrogate. The aim was to recruit content authors, raise the profile of the project and build relationships with those who currently deliver training in the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R).
Dudley Ibbett, Module Editor for the Nuclear Medicine module, gave a presentation on 'Delivering a National e-Learning Course for IRMER Duty Holders' which was based on the e-IRMER project. Dudley's presentation was well received by the 450 attendees and generated much interest at the e-IRMER stand.
The event was a great success and e-IRMER team has since received numerous new enquiries with many attendees expressing their interest in becoming content authors.
The e-IRMER team spoke to a number of people during the event, including BNMS President Dr Gill Vivian. The feedback from attendees assured the team that e-IRMER will prove an invaluable training resource in ensuring the safety of patients undergoing medical exposures to ionising radiations.
