Endoscopy is a sub-speciality housed principally within medical and surgical gastroenterology. However, endoscopic procedures are also performed by a number of other specialists both in primary & secondary care.
Endoscopy training is overseen by the Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy (JAG) which has a remit to define the standards for the training of all endoscopists.
The e-endoscopy project will comprise of ten modules:
