eSurgery will offer around 800 sessions of e-learning structured into 19 modules.
These modules will cover:
Basic science knowledge relevant to surgical practice
- Common surgical conditions
- Basic surgical skills
- The principles of assessment and management of the surgical patient
- Peri-operative care of the surgical patient
- Assessment and early treatment of the patient with trauma
- Surgical care of the paediatric patient
- Management of the dying patient
- Organ and tissue transplantation
- Professional behaviour and leadership skills
- The elements of the nine surgical specialities
Each session of e-learning will take around 20 minutes to complete to fit in with busy work-study schedules. All of the material will be interactive and will use multimedia features such as video, audio and animation.
