NICE Guidance - Evidence into Practice is an e-learning resource for the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), primarily aimed at medical undergraduates.

The e-learning offers practical advice about how to use evidence based medicine in daily practice. The information has been adapted from NICE Guidance and illustrates application of the guidance with practical examples.

NICE imageThe teaching materials have been developed for NICE in conjunction with Leeds and St George’s Medical Schools and are delivered in partnership with e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH).

Eight sessions of e-learning cover the following four topics:

  • Evidence-based medicine
  • Principles of decision making in healthcare
  • Changing clinical practice
  • Audit and feedback

NICE is now available to all healthcare staff via the National LMS, the e-learning platform fully integrated with the Electronic Staff Record. (National Learning Management System Project). Being integrated with ESR means results can be recorded against an individual’s portable employee record.

NICE is also being made available to all medical students with the support of the Medical Schools Council, and to doctors via e-GP, e-learning for General Practice. Visit www.e-GP.org.
