The Obesity programme is also available to NHS healthcare staff in England via the National Learning Management System (NLMS). The NLMS is an e-learning platform fully integrated with the Electronic Staff Record which means learning can be recorded against your portable employee record. Please contact your local learning and development department about accessing this content via the NLMS. Further details are available here: National Learning Management System Project.
Non-NHS staff working in obesity, such as those working in local authorities and leisure services, can access the Obesity programme via the Obesity Learning Centre website: http://www.obesitylearningcentre-nhf.org.uk/elearning-training/elearning/nhs-elearning/nhs-elearning-modules/.
The Obesity Learning Centre has been developed to support people who work, either directly or indirectly, on promoting a healthy weight and tackling obesity.
The website has been developed by the National Heart Forum, with the support of the Department of Health and Department for Education. It sets out to strengthen and support local capacity and capabilities to treat overweight in children and adults.
