Free online resources for unpaid carers

Health Education England’s e-Learning for Healthcare (HEE e-LfH) team has worked with Carers UK to develop a free online resource to support the vital care that unpaid carers provide.

The Supporting Unpaid Carers e-learning resource is for everyone who provides care and support to a family member or friend due to their disability, health condition, frailty, mental health problem or other health and care needs.

The resource, which is available on HEE’s e-LfH website, offers a variety of e-learning sessions, with expert advice from Carers UK, resources, guides and videos to support unpaid carers.

The resources include:

  • Links to organisations offering advice on topics relevant to the e-learning sessions
  • Downloadable resource guide including information on rights to benefits, support for carers and caring for those with visual or hearing impairment
  • Access to Agylia Care resources
  • Specialised e-learning content on topics including dementia, mental health, physical disability, infection control and end of life care
  • Information and advice on Coronavirus (COVID-19) for carers.

If you would like to share your thoughts on the resources and input into the evaluation of the Supporting Unpaid Carers e-learning resource please visit our survey.
