The NHS Health Check programme was developed for health trainers, pharmacy staff, health care assistants and anyone involved in the delivery of the NHS Health Check. The NHS Health check is available to people in England aged 40 to 74 years old and without pre-existing cardiovascular disease.
Existing video based resources have been refreshed by Health Education England and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID). The videos provide introductory knowledge about the NHS Health Check, which compliments locally commissioned training.
In addition, a new NHS Health Check training hub has been added to the programme, which offers learners with an interactive townscape. By exploring the townscape, learners are directed to a variety of external resources, which are relevant to the NHS Health Check.
