Volunteer Learning Passport

Health Education England elearning for healthcare (HEE elfh) has been working with Pennine Lancashire Volunteer Project, Helpforce and Health Education England’s Volunteer Programme, to add new content to the Volunteer Learning Passport elearning programme.

The Volunteer Learning Passport programme offers standardised basic mandatory training which has been designed to be portable and is free for volunteers in health and social care.   The programme aims to enable safe volunteering and to build community capacity to complement public services, which is a key strategy for improving health and wellbeing.

The new content covers a further nine sessions to complement the existing six sessions, which were launched as a pilot in January 2019.

The following sessions are now available:

  • Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Communication Skills
  • Data Security Awareness
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Equality, Diversity and Human Rights
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • Safeguarding Children
  • Child Sexual Exploitation
  • Prevent Radicalisation
  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Health and Safety
  • Fire Safety
  • Fluids and Nutrition
  • Basic Life Support
  • Moving and Assisting
