NHS Health and Wellbeing Champions supported with a new elearning session

Posted on: August 19th, 2021 by Rachel Gowland No Comments

Health Education England elearning for healthcare (HEE elfh) worked in partnership with NHS England and NHS Improvement to develop a new elearning programme which aims to support individuals who have been identified as Health and Wellbeing Champions, within their NHS organisation.

One of the ambitions in the NHS People Plan 2020/2021 is a programme of work that encourages all NHS organisations to roll out a network of Health and Wellbeing Champions, in a way that works best for their organisation. Champions may also be identified under titles such as Health and Wellbeing Allies, Health and Wellbeing Officers, or Health and Wellbeing Advocates working in an NHS organisation.

This network of champions will support colleagues as needed, signpost to relevant resources and regularly ‘check in’ with other colleagues. In turn, this will support the ambition to embed a culture of inclusion, compassion and wellbeing across the NHS.

About the elearning

The elearning session includes 7 sections which explore the role of a Health and Wellbeing Champion and how to implement this knowledge across NHS organisations. The session takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and includes knowledge checks and the opportunity to download a certificate after completing the session.

Your feedback

As ever, feedback on the module is valuable and we would encourage any Champion completing the programme to let us know their views.  There is a short, optional questionnaire at the end of the module that can be completed by those who wish to share feedback.
