Posted on: December 20th, 2019 by Alex Drinkall No Comments

The first run of the level 3 safeguarding adults free online course starts on Monday 27 January 2020.

The course lasts for three weeks with weekly study time of one hour.

Health and care staff can enrol now at https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/level-3-safeguarding-adults/1.

The online course contributes towards the achievement of level 3 safeguarding competencies, as set out in Safeguarding for Adults: Roles and Competencies.

Topics covered include:

* Taking part in, and contributing to, wider multi-disciplinary safeguarding meetings
* The challenges of complex safeguarding concerns
* How communication, information sharing and confidentiality contribute to effective safeguarding
* Professional and contemporaneous safeguarding documentation
* Reflective practice and the role of supervision in safeguarding

Developed in partnership with the Safeguarding Adults National Network, this online course is one of a set of national resources for level 3 and 4 safeguarding adults training that HEE is making freely available to all health and care staff.

Accompanying the level 3 online course, will be a facilitator guide to run complementary face to face training in your organisation. This will be made available on the elfh Hub from the end of January 2020.

For level 4 safeguarding adults, staff will be able to access a gap analysis tool to discover relevant resources based on their current knowledge and skills, log their work-based learning and have access to a programme of live webinars on ‘hot topics’ running throughout 2020.
